Gitman Alexander Girard Flores Short Sleeve
Gitman's collaboration with the estate of renowned architect and designer Alexander Girard, Flores (1960). This print was originally developed by Girard during his tenure as the Head of Fabric and Textile Division at Herman Miller and has been used in countless applications from upholstery to wallpaper.
To continue Girard’s emphasis of quality craftsmanship, Gitman had Flores meticulously reengineered by one of their Italian partner mills on a summer-weight 100% cotton poplin. Each color was matched to their original pantones and extra care was taken to ensure pigments hold fast and resist bleeding.
Gitman's camp shirts are cut with a slightly boxy fit with wider sleeves and a straight hem that sits right at the hips. Unlined collars and cuffs and our pre-washing process creates a softer look and helps to minimize additional shrinkage.
